Zalando introduces personal shopping service Zalon in Belgium

Zalando has launched its curated shopping service Zalon in Belgium. The free personal shopping service for men and women offers its customers personalized advice from fashion experts. Zalon by Zalando is now available in five European countries.

In the summer of 2014, the big German fashion retailer started with Zalon, a personal shopping service to help consumers with choosing the right fashion items for the right occasion. Now, the service is available to consumers in Belgium.

With Zalon, customers can chat or call with a stylist for free. They will first ask the customer about his or her preferences after which the customer can send pictures. After this, the stylist will propose several items for the customer to try. The Zalon box with the final outfit arrives after a few days, after which the customer can try all items. He or she pays only for the items they want to keep and then have the other items returned for free.

“The Zalon stylists can pick items from over 1,500 brands in Zalando’s offering, with a total of over 200,000 products. Whether it’s an outfit for men or for women, with such a wide range every outfit is custom made”, says Dieter Meeuwsesen, Zalon’s country manager for Belgium and the Netherlands.

Zalon in Europe

Zalando started Zalon, which was previously called Project Z, in Germany in the spring of 2015 and only a few months later, Zalon launched in Austria and Switzerland as well. In October 2016, Zalon started in the Netherlands and now it’s also available to consumers in Belgium.
