BigBuy: turnover of €65 million in 2020

Wholesale platform BigBuy generated a turnover of 65 million euros in 2020. And 90 percent of the B2B company’s sales shipped out of Spain. France and Italy accounted for most sales through this wholesale platform.

All in all it was a good year for the Spanish B2B wholesale company, as it also managed to exceed one million orders during that period.

Growth of 80 percent in 2020

BigBuy has showed some impressive growth. In 2019, the company’s turnover was ‘just’ 36 million euros. But last year, it grew by 80 percent to 65 million euros. The Spanish company says it has ended the year with the best results it has ever had.

Most sales in France and Italy

During last year, BigBuy also exceeded a million sales, 90 percent of which were shipped out of Spain. France and Italy were the countries that generated most sales, even more than in its home market.

This year, BigBuy continues to grow: by 70 percent compared to the situation last year. According to the company this development shows the investment in technology it has made since late 2018 is now beginning to bear fruit.

“Our objectives are so ambitious that they seem impossible, but when you commit to them and you surround yourself with an extremely motivated team of professionals, things that appear to be madness become reality”, CEO and founder Salvador Esteve explains. “What really motivates us is making a mark on global ecommerce, and that our business model is unique.”

As of today, BigBuy has a catalogue of over 100,000 items and 3,000 brands, divided into several categories, such as home, kitchen, electronics, beauty, and more. The catalogue is translated into 24 languages and everything is dispatched from BigBuy’s logistics center in Valencia, Spain.
