French fashion brand Céline launches ecommerce website

The French brand Céline, the only LVMH-owned fashion label without its own ecommerce business, has launched its online store. For now, the ecommerce website Celine.com is only available in France, but next year it will roll out further in Europe, the United States and, in 2019, in Japan.

It’s the first time the French fashion brand Céline is selling its products online. The offering consists of ready-to-wear clothing, leather goods, shoes, jewelry and sun glasses and is presented on a website with a minimal design, typical for Céline’s brand image.

The online store of Céline offers several services for its customers. They can choose for click and collect, return in store, request an appointment in-store and organize a pick-up at home. “Ecommerce is launching as planned with ambitious business objectives, but also as a key tool to increase visibility, recruit new clients and provide a full service to our clients who are looking for a global experience, mixing digital and physical touchpoints”, a spokesperson told WWD.

Le Bon Marché

In March of this year, news came out LVMH will launch an ecommerce website, Le Bon Marché, that features all of its brands and those of competitors.
