Storfund partners with Castorama
Ecommerce financer Storfund has announced a partnership with Castorama France. As a result, sellers on the French marketplace will be able to use Storfund’s embedded cash flow solution. This gives them faster access to their sales revenue.
Storfund is a payment service that was founded in 2018 in London. It wants to remove payout delays for marketplace sellers. It is currently integrated with over 60 platforms globally, like Amazon, TikTok Shop, Back Market and Kaufland.
Gap between sales and payouts
On many online marketplaces, sellers experience a 14-60 day gap between sales and payouts. This protects customers and facilitates refunds, but it creates cash flow challenges for online stores. With Storfund’s solution, sellers can access their sales revenue as soon as their goods are shipped. The company says that it can provide up to 7 billion dollars in advances to ecommerce businesses worldwide.
Strengthening position in France
Today, Storfund announces that it is embedding its solution in French DIY marketplace Castorama. Castorama is part of Kingfisher, an international home improvement group which operates over 1,900 stores across seven countries. The partnership entails Storfund’s first launch within the group, and also strengthens its position in the French marketplace ecosystem.
‘Faster access to funds improves cash flow, which helps sellers reinvest in stock and service more quickly’
“Faster access to funds can make a huge difference for marketplace merchants – improving cash flow, unlocking growth, and helping sellers reinvest in stock and service more quickly. We are excited that through our partnership with Storfund, merchants on the Castorama marketplace will now be able to access funds faster and scale with greater confidence”, said Séverine Geoffroy, directrice Market Place Castorama.
Joep Backx, Sales Director at Storfund, said: “The most successful marketplaces understand that supporting businesses goes beyond connecting them with customers. Growth depends on the entire ecosystem working effectively — and cash flow is a critical part of that.”
