SwipBox and Bpost join forces

SwipBox is partnering in Europe again. This time it’s with Belgian logistics provider Bpost. The two have teamed up to launch a network of parcel lockers that are battery driven and Bluetooth enabled. The first step is a pilot project in the Belgian city of Mechelen.

The two companies hope to gather enough user experiences with the pilot, so they will find out things like the ideal distance from a parcel locker. Or learn how the lockers from SwipBox can complement the pick-up-drop-off network from Bpost.

Bpost looks forward to a greener last mile future

“We are very happy to be trialing the SwipBox Infinity concept, as it’s an obvious supplement to our green logistics strategy, which aims to offer sustainable and convenient last and first mile solutions”, Catherine De Baets, CEO Parcels & Logistics Europe & Asia at Bpost, says. “Thus we are looking forward to the collaboration and a greener last mile future.”

It’s an obvious supplement to our logistics strategy.

First Scandinavia, now Belgium

According to Jens Rom, CEO of SwipBox, the latest partnership shows the strong market demand for the Danish company’s solutions. “We have already rolled out this solution across Scandinavia, and we can now proudly announce the cooperation with Bpost. We are confident that it will provide greater convenience for shoppers in Belgium and deliver a new, greener way to pick up and send parcels.”
