GLS offers faster shipping in Europe via PaketShops

GLS Germany has announced it will now offer faster parcel shipping via its PaketShops. The delivery time has been reduced to one or two business days for parcels that go to Austria or the Benelux region. Parcels to most other neighboring countries will take about 48 hours.

GLS Germany shared this news yesterday, stating that international parcel delivery starts from 9,19 euros. Starting at this price, GLS delivers parcels to countries such as Austria, Belgium and Denmark. In general, the exact prices depend on the country of destination and the size of the package.

Parcels can be franked online via GLS’s shipping portal GLS-One.de and handed over to any of the approximately 5,000 GLS parcel shops in Germany. Or it can be picked up at the front door for an additional fee.

Delivered directly to a parcel shop nearby

GLS says international online shoppers also benefit from the PaketShops. “Because if the consignor offers this method, parcels can be delivered directly to a parcel shop via the ShopDeliveryService. Or they can be returned with the same service to a parcel shop nearby, free of charge”, the logistics company explains.
