Zalando starts selling toys

German online fashion giant Zalando has added a new product category to its platform: toys. The new category is already added to the platform’s homepage in all its markets. With this launch, the platform continues to expand its range of products for children.

The German online marketplace Zalando currently has over 50 million active users. Initially, it only sold shoes, but it quickly expanded its product assortment. As of 2010, the company also sells fashion items and in 2018, it added beauty products.

Additionally, the platform added a pre-owned product category in several of its markets in 2020, where customers can buy and sell second hand items. And just last year, it added a selection of electronics to its product range.

Several subcategories

Now, the company is also selling toys in all of its markets. The platform has already added several subcategories, such as stuffed animals, dolls and toy cars for younger children. It is also selling puzzles, costumes and Lego and Playmobil for older children.

The new product category is already clearly visible on Zalando’s homepage.
