Cloudpillo wins Best Starting Shop 2023
Welkoop was named ‘DHL Best Online Store of the Year 2023’ at the annual Dutch Shopping Awards. The shop, which sells garden and pet products, also took first place in the ‘Pet’ category. Online seller of sleeping products, Cloudpillo, was the winner of the PayPal Best Starting Shop Award.
Last night, the 21st edition of the Shopping Awards took place in the Netherlands. The annual award ceremony is sponsored by some of the biggest names in ecommerce, such as PayPal, DHL and Dutch postal service PostNL.
Shopping Awards 2023
During the awards show, the winners of the trade awards were announced. A professional jury determined these winners based on their submitted motivation and presentation. The trade awards were divided into five topical themes in ecommerce: sustainability, b2b, marketplaces, new technologies and best starting shop.

Best Online Store 2023
The winners of the audience awards were determined on the basis of audience votes and reviews from a professional jury. The online store with the most votes from the public and the best review receives the grand prize of the evening, the title ‘DHL Best Webshop of the Year 2023’. This year Welkoop was the big winner, succeeding the winner of last year, card shop Kaartje2go. Ecommerce manager of the year
This year the Mollie E-commerce Manager of the Year Award was presented for the first time. It was awarded to an ecommerce manager who managed to stand out with their own leadership style and innovative ideas to achieve the goals of their online store. The winner was again determined by public votes and the vote of the professional jury. Xenos’ ecommerce manager, Angela Haneveer, went home with this title.
