InPost strengthens operations in Iberian Peninsula
InPost is increasing its logistics capacity to handle up to 500,000 daily shipments during the high season. This represents a 220 percent rise compared to last year, as the company gets ready for increasing ecommerce demand across the Iberian Peninsula.
Throughout 2025, InPost has expanded its network in Spain and Portugal. The number of lockers has reached almost 4,000, with about 55 percent available twenty-four hours a day and 99.38 percent accessible at least six days a week. To handle the high demand expected in November and December, the company plans to restock lockers multiple times per day.
Stronger customer service and operations
InPost has also recently reinforced its internal systems and customer support teams. The company reported a 60 percent increase in staff, adding 88 new hires and creating 13 permanent positions. Automation has been a key focus, with chat systems and delivery alerts now operating around the clock.
InPost has introduced a new quality plan to monitor performance and solve incidents more efficiently
The news of a wider network is part of the company’s long-term plan to strengthen its presence in the Iberian Peninsula and improve service reliability. A new quality plan was introduced to monitor performance and solve delivery incidents more efficiently.
Full coverage and international integration
Customers can now choose between Locker, Punto Pack, or home delivery, covering 100 percent of postal codes in Spain, Portugal, and the islands. The company’s capacity also increased following the integration of Sending, a logistics provider acquired by InPost in July.
‘Our goal is to be closer and faster’
This merger allows for full last-mile delivery and cross-border shipments from countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK. “Our goal is to be closer and faster, ensuring every delivery arrives on time”, said Marc Vicente, CEO of InPost Iberia.
Ready for the shopping season
This capacity boost comes ahead of Black Friday, Christmas, and the post-holiday sales period, when parcel traffic traditionally reaches its highest levels. Retailers and logistics operators across Iberia will be watching closely to see whether InPost’s expanded infrastructure can maintain fast and reliable service throughout the peak season.
