Migros launches click and collect service with Swiss Post

Migros has made it possible for its customers to collect online orders in one of many Migros stores across Switzerland. The supermarket giant has partnered with Swiss Post to make this new service available.

The new click and collect service will be available at 300 branches across Switzerland. The collaboration is the result of Swiss Post trying to continually expand the number of access points to postal services throughout the Central-European country.

Send and receive parcels at supermarket

As a result of the partnership, customers from supermarket chain Migros can now send and receive their parcels throughout the country at around 300 Migros supermarkets. The service is integrated into’s Migros’ existing PickMup service, which enables customers to buy products from a Migros brand and pick them up in the store.

“Migros, with its dense and nationwide network of branches, is an ideal partner for us”, Thomas Baur, head of PostalNetwork at Swiss Post commented. “We want to be where our customers are, and with this offer we can totally do that.”

Swiss Post delivered 138 million parcels in 2018

Last year, Swiss Post delivered 138 million parcels, which is 6.7 percent more than in 2017. At the same time, Migros saw its sales hit 25.4 billion euros. The supermarket chain invested 1.3 billion euros in operations, including improving its online and physical stores. Migros’ online sales increased by 7 percent to 1.88 billion euros.
