Mollie launches in Italy
Dutch payments fintech Mollie has announced that it is expanding to Italy. Businesses in the country can now use the payment platform for online transactions. The platform has also added Italian local payment methods.
Mollie is a Dutch payment service provider that handles payment transactions for online stores, by offering a large collection of online payment methods. It has integrations with most ecommerce software solutions, which makes implementing the payments platform in online stores easy.
Office in Milan
The company is well-known in the Netherlands, but is already active in other countries in Europe as well. According to Mollie, it currently serves more than 250,000 businesses. Now, it is launching in Italy. The company is opening an office in Milan.
Mollie has added local payment methods to the platform, to support online sales in Italy
It wants to offer a local experience, tailored to the specific needs of Italian businesses. Because of that, the platform has added local payment methods like Satispay and Bancomat Pay. Thanks to these payment methods, Mollie can assist new local businesses, while also supporting existing customers with their cross-border efforts in Italy.
