PostNord saw B2C volumes increase by 10% in 2019

Ecommerce continues to drive growth for PostNord. The Swedish logistics group delivered just over 50 million parcels in the fourth quarter of 2019. And for the full year, B2C volumes increased by 10 percent compared to the year before.

PostNord published its year-end report for 2019, revealing how the company saw a strong improvement in income last year. Adjusted operating income totaled 541 million kronor (over 50 million euros). “This was the result, above all, of efficiency improvements and favorable growth in prices”, the logistics company explains.

PostNord further invests in ecommerce

With the delivery of 50 million parcels in the last three months of 2019 and the fact that PostNord saw its B2C volumes increase by 10 percent year-on-year, shows that ecommerce is the key to further success. Last year, the company invested approximately 132 million euros in parcel terminals, sorting machines, vehicles and digital development.

‘Our future lies in the parcels business’
