Zalando expands to Ireland and the Czech Republic

Zalando is finally expanding again. The German fashion company will open online stores in Ireland and the Czech Republic this summer. These are the first two countries Zalando will enter since 2013. Both Ireland and the Czech Republic will be served by the company’s existing logistics sites.

Co-CEO Rubin Ritter says he’s excited to bring Zalando to new customers in Europe. “We believe our assortment, personalized shopping experience, and convenience offering will resonate well with Irish and Czech customers.”

New languages for German and Swiss customers

Zalando will not only enter two new markets, it will also launch extra language versions of its ecommerce website in Germany and Switzerland. Customers will get access to an English-written version of the German Zalando shop, while customers in Switzerland will be able to browse an Italian language version of Zalando.ch.

H&M brand Monki available on Zalando website

In the same press release, Zalando also announced that from August on, H&M group brand Monki will be available on the Zalando platform in all European markets. If the online fashion retailer has launched its online store in Ireland and the Czech Republic, Zalando will be present in 17 European countries.
