CollectYourParcel lets customers choose their pick-up point

Dutch company B2C Europe has introduced a new Click & Collect service, which they called CollectYourParcel. Retailers using this service can give their customers the opportunity to select where they want to pick up their order. Consumers no longer have to rely on one specific parcel company and its pick-up points.

Online shopping center Ffshoppen.nl already offers this service for about two weeks now. Its customers can choose whether they want to pick up their goods at a pick-up point from DPD, PostNL or Kiala. Thanks to CollectYourParcel, a new initiative from Dutch company B2C Europe (formerly ABC Mail). There’s also an English-written website, but that one hasn’t officially launched yet.

Access to all pick-up points in the EU
“Unique about CollectYourParcel is that we offer access to nearly all available drop points in the European Union”, it says on the website.  “You only have to implement one interface in the check-out module of your website to get your parcels delivered all over Europe.”

The service works as follows: B2C Company provides an API that has to be integrated in the checkout module of the online store. Then they will collect the retailer’s parcels, print the labels and take care of transportation and delivery to the selected drop point. The consumers will be informed by e-mail or text message when the parcel is ready to be collected.
