Europeans will spend €1.67bn online during busiest shopping days

Soon it will be Christmas. And that means spending some precious time with your beloved ones, but Christmas is also about presents. And Europeans love to shop those presents online. As a matter of fact, in Europe 19.3% of online sales for the year will land dur­ing Christ­mas, which is a 10 per­cent increase over last year. 1 in 8 online EU Christmas sales come from mobile

Slightly more than 12 percent of the total online sales during the holiday season in Europe will come from mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. That’s an increase of 68 percent compared to the same period a year ago. The growth in Europe is bigger than the mobile holiday sales growth in the United States.

Amazon upscales its Appstore

Amazon this week expanded its Android-based Appstore. Previously the appstore was only available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.
