Everli launches in Germany and Romania

Italian marketplace Everli announced that it will expand into Germany and Romania in early 2022. This news follows a period of rapid growth for the company. It is now operating in more than 80 cities across Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and France.

Everli is an Italian online marketplace for grocery shopping. Customers can choose their favorite supermarket and order products in stores for same-day delivery via dedicated Everli Shoppers. It’s a delivery partner for many large grocery brands, such as Lidl, Kaufland and Carrefour.

Next step after funding round

In April, the company raised 100 million dollars (85 million euros). It was the largest funding round to date for the company and at the time, the proceeds would be used to further accelerate expansion in Europe. The expansion to Germany and Romania answers to an increasing demand for online grocery delivery.

New offices in Berlin and Bucharest

In early 2022, Everli will be setting up offices in Berlin and Bucharest as part of the move. It will also create new fully remote roles in Germany and Romania, based in these new offices. The company will hire employees to handle operations, sales and marketing, as well as offering flexible work to Everli Shoppers.

“While demand in many markets across Europe has dramatically increased, there’s still a lack of available and convenient online same-day grocery shopping for many customers including in Germany and Romania”, says Federico Sargenti, CEO of Everli.

‘In both city centers and lower density areas, we deliver groceries in one hour.’

Because Everli works together with existing local supermarkets, it can expand rapidly. “We can sustainably provide a unique service offering a wide selection of fresh and packaged goods, in both city centers and lower density areas, delivering groceries in as little as one hour. After continuing to grow in 2021, we’re confident and excited to now deliver our vision to customers in Germany and Romania.”
