Greenstorm opens online marketplace for used e-bikes

Greenstorm, which launched an online shop this morning, is one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe. The German company that provides e-bikes to hoteliers in six European countries, now has an online marketplace which offers private traders the opportunity to sell their used e-bikes.

With the new online shop, Greenstorm wants to become the most important online marketplace for e-bikes in Europe. It has partnered with hundreds of stationary dealers from Austria, Germany and Italy. On the platform, customers can choose from 90,000 mint and used e-bikes, with prices ranging from 1,600 to 12,000 euros. Dealers can sell their new e-bikes commission-free.

‘Kilometers driven are decisive for the state of the e-bike’

“High quality e-bikes are durable products that can be used for many years. For rechargeable batteries, the number of charge cycles is crucial”, CEO Philipp Zimmermann says. “Decisive for the state of the e-bike are, of course, the kilometers driven. It determines the level of wear and tear, and we adjust the new prices accordingly. We also deduct any damage and signs of use adequately from the resale price so that an unbeatable, fair deal is created.”

The Austrian company started as a business that provides e-bikes, electric cars and charging stations to hoteliers in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Croatia and Slovenia. It also sells e-bikes to companies who can then lend them to their employees. After the end of the rental period, Greenstorm now waits for the used top e-bikes and offers them for sale.
