Printful and Printify announce merger

Latvian technology platforms Printful and Printify have announced a merger. The joined company will be able to offer better prices to customers, while also operating on a bigger scale. Both brands will continue operating under their own names.

Printful is a Latvian company that was founded in 2013. It provides production-on-demand and fulfillment services to small and medium-sized businesses. It is active in multiple continents. In 2021, it raised 106 million euros in an investment round. Because of that, it became the country’s first unicorn.

Printify is from the same country and was established in 2015. It enables companies to sell customized products without any upfront investments. Now, both companies are merging. Details of the merger still need to be finalized.

More products on the platforms

In their own words, joining forces will enable them to combine technology capabilities and resources. Because of that, the new company can provide a bigger product selection, have a broader geographic reach. It will also improve its fulfillment solutions.

‘Our combined company will give our merchants more’

Both brands will continue under their own names. According to the companies, new product offerings will be added to both platforms soon. “Our combined company will give our merchants more. More top-quality products, more places to sell, more innovative solutions, and more growth and profit”, said Anastasija Oļeiņika, CEO of Printify.

‘Development opportunities for our teams’

“We are also going to be able to provide best in class learning, talent density, and development opportunities for our teams. In recent years, the Latvian tech and entrepreneurial scene has caught up with our neighbors in the Baltics and Eastern Europe. This merger will not only help to crystallize that position but also give us the platform to be a destination for top talent from around Europe and the world.”
