Food Union now delivers in four European countries

Food Union, a dairy production and distribution company from Latvia, has launched an ecommerce distribution service in four markets across Europe. The Riga-based company now delivers ice cream, dairy products, pastry and frozen food to customers in Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Denmark.

The products will be delivered straight from production to the end-customers. The development and expansion of the ecommerce distribution system was made possible due to Food Union’s consumer behavior analytics models and door-step-delivery systems in Norway and Denmark.

Various product offerings

Food Union created four ecommerce platforms with various product offerings. Each online store offers unique products. In Lithuania, it launched online shop Premia.lt in March. It delivers ice cream, frozen products, and dairy products nationwide.

Partner suppliers in Latvia

In Latvia, Food Union launched online shop Pienaveikals.lv at the end of April. This ecommerce website offers delivery services in the capital city of Riga and locations up to 50 kilometers away. It sells fresh dairy, ice cream, and frozen food, but also other products like bread, meat, and eggs. These are provided by partner suppliers in Latvia.

New online shops in Romania and Denmark

In Romania, the company launched Vreaualpin.ro in late April. This is an online shop with a 24-hour delivery service that brings products to the cities of Bucharest, Ilfov, and Cluj.

And at the beginning of May, Food Union launched online shop Hjem-is.dk, which enhanced its operations with a brand new ecommerce website. It continues to offer nationwide door-step-delivery.

Food Union says it’s a leading ice cream maker in the Baltics and Denmark while holding a strong market position in Norway, Romania, Russia, and Belarus.
