New owner for Dutch retail chains Dixons, MyCom and iCentre

The Dutch telecom retail chains Dixons, MyCom and iCentre are saved. Their previous owner BAS Group was declared bankrupt, but the retail chains will continue to operate under new owner Relevant Holdings. Now 30 Dixons stores, 22 MyCom stores and 24 iCentre stores as well as their online stores will continue selling items such as white goods, telecom products and IT devices.

MyOptique acquires two eyewear retailers

MyOptique acquires two eyewear retailers

Online optical retailer MyOptique Group is expanding its presence in Europe. It acquired German rival 4care and the UK-based online eyewear retailer Eyewearbrands. Earlier this year, MyOptique Group acquired Netzoptiker, another eyewear retailer from Germany. According to the company, it's on track to delivery €100 million sales across Europe this year, with over three million eyewear customers served online.

FedEx buys Dutch delivery service TNT for 4.4 billion euro

Yesterday FedEx announced that it wants to buy the Dutch delivery company TNT for $4.8 billion (4.4 billion euro) to strengthen its ground delivery options in Europe. Currently FedEx is already active in 220 countries but in Europe it's still a relative small company. With TNT it could become one of the major players in the ecommerce logistics industry, at least in the B2B market.

Spanish eShop Ventures acquires subscription service Nonabox

Ecommerce company eShop Ventures has added another brand to its portfolio. After acquiring online stores El Armario de la Tele and BoutiqueSecret, eShop Ventures acquired Nonabox, an online subscription service for mums. This Spanish company was not performing really well in terms of financial results and its founders were already trying to find a buyer of the remaining assets.

Global Payments acquires Realex Payments

Payment gateway Realex Payments has been sold to Global Payments. Realex Payments processes over 29 billion in payments for thousands of online and mobile businesses worldwide and will continue to do this as part of Global Payments, a provider of payment technology services. The transaction is valued at 115 million euros.

Rocket Internet invests in HelloFresh and Delivery Hero

Rocket Internet sees food and groceries as the next frontier of ecommerce, as it invests heavily in two online food retailers. It financed subscription based ecommerce player HelloFresh with 100 million euros, while it acquired a 30% stake in food takeaway service Delivery Hero. And oh, it also acquired two Southern-European food and groceries companies.

Chinese retailer Osell acquires Russian logistics company

Osell, the B2B subsidiary of major Chinese cross-border sales platform DinoDirect.com, has acquired TDPRO at the end of last year. TDPRO is a Russian company that provides logistics, warehousing and supply chain management services. With the acquisition, Osell is going to build the first Chinese products experience center in Moscow.
