Online shopping is a common practice in Switzerland. It is not surprising, then, that there are several local online marketplaces that dominate the ecommerce market. By joining these marketplaces as a partner seller, you can easily reach millions of Swiss customers.

According to research, at least 67.5 percent of Swiss consumers was an online shopper in 2025. It is also expected that 2029, that share will be 78.1 percent. That would come down to around 6.9 million online shoppers in that year. Selling on a marketplace in Switzerland could bring you closer to these millions of shoppers, quickly.

There are several marketplaces with a very large market share in Swiss ecommerce. Two of those are local, and they are owned by one parent company: Digitec Galaxus AG. Internaional marketplaces also have a large market share, but they have not been able to bridge the gap with local platforms yet.
