German fashion retailer Edited keeps on expanding. The retail company has opened its latest online store in Belgium. The launch follows just one month after the German company opened its digital doors in the Netherlands.

There are easily over one million fraudulent online stores in Germany. And more than 4.4 German consumers have become victims of this online fraud. Criminals manage to steal consumers' money mostly by setting up online popup stores.

Consumers in Germany are increasingly buying furniture online. The share of online shopping has now reached around 14 percent. And it's mostly single households and consumers under the age of 30 that tend to buy their furniture online instead of in physical stores.

Retailers in the German city of Bonn want to continue with the online platform AllyouneedCity, which started last year but is set to quit. The local subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL's online marketplace Allyouneed was a success among Bonn retailers and they are now looking for a partner that wants to continue with the online platform.

Cdiscount Marketplace is busy expanding outside of France. The online marketplace now also delivers some items to Belgium, Germany, Italy and Spain. This means, the 10,000 connected sellers suddenly get access to a new 200 million customer base.

Amazon has launched its online print on demand platform Merch by Amazon in Europe. The service is now available in Germany and the United Kingdom. The launch in Europe follows three years after Amazon introduced the platform in the US.

Viniexport, an online marketplace from Italy that enables companies to buy and sell wine worldwide, has secured a 2 million euros funding round. With the money, the marketplace wants to pursue its European expansion.

Allyouneed.com, the online marketplace of DHL Deutsche Post, is about to end its services. For eight years, DHL tried to set up its own marketplace. First under the name MeinPaket.de, later rebranded to Allyouneed. But now it's closing.

Last year, ecommerce in Germany managed to grow 9.5 percent compared to the situation in 2016. This has led to the online retail industry being worth 85 billion euros. It's expected ecommerce in Germany will grow to 93 billion euros at the end of this year.

Shopware, one of the most popular ecommerce software providers from Germany, is moving more and more into the international markets. The company is increasingly present in other countries, with the launch of its first office in the UK coming soon.

Chinese ecommerce giant JD.com is ready to launch in Europe. The retailer was aiming for this continent for quite some time now, but it now wants to have finalized its strategy for entering the European ecommerce market by the end of this year.

Fashion retailer H&M is experimenting with same day delivery. Currently, this delivery method is only being tested with customers who live in Berlin, but chances are H&M will roll it out in other cities or even countries, when the pilot is a success.

German fashion retailer Lesara has raised another 30 million euros from investors. The online fashion discounter has now raised a total of 90 million euros during the last few years. With the fresh funding, Lesara wants to further grow the company in Europe.

Online retailers aren't allowed to state a product is available soon' on a product page. It's too vague. That's what the Oberlandesgericht in Munich decided after it reviewed a case against MediaMarkt, which used this phrase to promote the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Amazon, eBay and eBay Classifieds together have a 66 percent market share in the German ecommerce industry. Every other online retailer from the top 50 list can't even pass a market share of 3 percent.
