My Mall claims to be one of the fastest growing marketplaces in Sweden at the moment. Last month, sales increased by almost 1,200 percent, compared with the same month last year. And during the first half of 2021, it also showed a similar increase.

Amazon sellers in the United Kingdom account for 5.5 percent of the country's entire monthly retail turnover. Every week, just 13,500 Amazon UK sellers generate sales worth hundreds of millions.

eBay UK has announced several upgrades and features to eBay Shops, the branded storefronts to attract more buyers on the online marketplace. eBay gave the edit shop page a new look, redesigned the categories page and introduced the possibility to create newsletters.

Amazon has introduced two new Fulfillment by Amazon programs in Europe to give more products a second life. With FBA Liquidations and FBA Grade and Resell, Amazon enables sellers to recoup potential losses on returned and overstock inventory.

eBay will roll out a new service in the United Kingdom: eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex. This is an end-to-end fulfillment service for eBay business sellers located in the UK. It offers same-day handling, late cut off times and the option of next-day or standard delivery to end customers.

Large marketplace sellers play an essential part on online platforms. They contributed 88 percent of marketplaces' Gross Merchandise Value during the first quarter of this year. But small and medium-sized sellers are on the rise: they doubled their contribution in that same period and even tripled in the past year.

Decathlon UK has opened its website to external vendors. The sports retailer invites new partners to join its marketplace, so customers get access to thousands of more sporting goods.

Online fashion marketplace Secret Sales has secured 10 million euros in a Series A funding round. The UK company wants to use the money to improve data mining capabilities and to launch in other countries this year.

Wish has announced a two-year partnership with ecommerce software provider PrestaShop. Merchants using this software will be able to quickly sell to consumers on the Wish marketplace. A integration module on the PrestaShop platform syncs their products and orders between PrestaShop and Wish.

Online marketing agency 10XCrew from the Netherlands has acquired Vorwärts, a German Amazon agency. Both companies are specialized in direct-to-consumer strategies and online marketplaces like Amazon and Bol.com.

Manor, a big department store chain from Switzerland, has launched its online marketplace. The platform was announced last year, was released in silent beta mode recently and is now officially live.   

Ankorstore, a wholesale marketplace from France, has raised 100 million dollars (82.4 million euros) in a Series B funding round. The online marketplace will use the money to further expand in Europe and grow its customer base.

Ecommerce software provider Shopware has released the latest version of its software. The most important new feature is Shopware Markets. This service enables shop owners to seamlessly connect their online shop to the Amazon and eBay marketplaces.

Almost eight in ten Amazon merchants in Germany don't see the marketplace as a partner. But they also generate an average of 51.2 percent of their turnover through Amazon. German ecommerce association BVOH calls on Amazon to reform its relationship with merchants.

Wholesale platform BigBuy generated a turnover of 65 million euros in 2020. And 90 percent of the B2B company's sales shipped out of Spain. France and Italy accounted for most sales through this wholesale platform.
