Fashion retailer H&M will soon launch an online store in Switzerland. It's not officially announced yet, but all the indications are that the Swedish company will open its Swiss online store in just a few days. In the physical stores the upcoming opening of the ecommerce site was already announced over the loudspeakers.

Poundland, a UK retailer that sells products for the fixed £1 price, has launched its first online store. Now customers in the United Kingdom can shop online for more than 2,000 items in categories such as cosmetics, food and drink, health and beauty, DIY and pets.

Dutch fashion brand Turnover has found its way back into the ecommerce. After the online store closed its doors in 2011, the brand was only present offline in stores from partners. But now Turnover will open a pop-up web store that’s available for customers from September until December.

DHL Parcel had announced plans to expand its service in Europe by opening its own parcel network in Austria by 2016. After the Benelux, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Austria is the latest market that will be entered by the European parcel division that was launched last year by Deutsche Post DHL Group.

It could be the next social platform for Shopify that is already connected to Facebook, Pinterest is connected to Demandware as well. Social media sites are adding buy buttons to their platforms as they try to build new revenue streams from their giant audiences.

ePrice, one of the biggest online retailers in Italy, has launched a new marketplace. The ecommerce company wants to improve its product selection and growth in the Italian market as well as in Europe. It is now opening the marketplace to European merchants, who will be able to sell their products to Italian customers.

The European Parliament Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development is supporting a Dutch project that wants to highlight local products from all over Europe. The pilot project will launch in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and French Guiana. The multilingual web shop is called More for Local and offers typical local products.

Swedish online retailer Adlibris no longer just sells books via its website, as it launched an extended range of completely new categories, both on its Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish websites. Here, business shoppers can order a wide range of items and get their products delivered in two days for free if an order costs more than 45 euros. It's seems like a very logical step for Amazon, who says millions of business customers have purchased billions of dollars of goods on the regular Amazon.com website in the past year.

Zalando has opened the new Zalando Fashion Insights Centre in Dublin. With this first technology hub outside of Germany, the online fashion retailer is about to create 200 jobs during the next three years. The new base will focus on understanding the habits and patterns of online shoppers to create a personalized platform.

Danish jewelry retailer Pandora has launched an ecommerce site for the US market. It's the first time the manufacturer and retailer has opened a dedicated ecommerce store for a market outside of Europe, where it already has seven country-specific online stores.
