Ecommerce giant Amazon has launched the second edition of the Amazon Launchpad Innovation Awards. The competition supports European innovative startups. The winner will receive the 'Startup of the year' prize of 100,000 euros.

The winners of the largest ecommerce competition in the Adriatic region were revealed yesterday. In total, 412 online retailers from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia competed. The biggest winner of the evening was Slovenian Bigbang.

Yesterday, the Ecommerce Awards 2021 were handed out. The award show was a part of the Ecommerce Expo, and took place virtually due to coronavirus regulations. A total of 21 different ecommerce players won awards.

The winners of the FDIH E-handelsprisen 2018 were revealed and online supermarket Nemlig.com won the main award. At the same event, Too Good To Go was rewarded with the title of best newcomer, while the 19-year old Daniel Johannesen was named the best ecommerce entrepreneur.

Last Monday, it was time for the Shop-Award 2018, an award show organized by Internet World Business. This event praises the best online stores in Germany and other German-speaking countries. This year's edition saw ecommerce companies such as About You and Mymuesli go home with the coveted trophies.

The online stores of Coolblue, Viata and Luxury for Men have been rewarded with the Twinkle Awards. Coolblue won an award for being the best omnichannel player in Belgium, while Viata went home with an award for best pure player. Luxury for Men was rewarded with an award for best starter.

Online pharmacist Apotea has been rewarded with an award for being Sweden's most favorite online store. The online-only pharmacist is followed closely by Adlibris and CDON. It's the first time PostNord has organized this competition, which is solely based on consumer votes.

This month, Swedish fashion retailer Chiquelle won the Global E-commerce Award at this year's Global E-commerce Summit. The company's pitch won 52 percent of the audience vote, thereby beating Indian online grocery store Big Basket and Swedish furniture manufacturer Ikea. The online store Galaxus.ch has been honored as the ecommerce champion of 2017 in Switzerland. The online shop of Digitec Galaxus AG received the most important Swiss E-Commerce Award during the sixth edition of this award show.

The organization behind the Global E-Commerce Summit has announced the nominees for its annual awards. In two categories, brands and retailers from across Europe compete for the jury's favor. Finalists then need to present their elevator pitch, after which the GES audience will vote to decide which finalists will take home the awards.
