Dutch retailer Lincherie opens store without products

Dutch lingerie retail chain Lincherie has opened a physical store in Amsterdam where customers won't be able to take some bras or bikinis with them. They can however get in a fitting room with a digital mirror where they can discover the correct bra size. Ordering products happens via a tablet, after which the products will be sent to the customer within 48 hours.

Dutch Bol.com shows again strong growth

Bol.com, the biggest online store in the Netherlands, continued its strong performance and reported growth in net consumer sales again. Together with Dutch online grocer Ah.nl, both are owned by Ahold Delhaize, the online business showed more than 30 percent growth during the second quarter, compared to the same period last year.

Just Eat and Takeaway.com swap local websites

Dutch food-order company Takeaway.com has sold its British website to its competitor Just Eat. The news follows just a few weeks after Takeaway.com acquired the Benelux businesses from Just Eat. Both companies couldn't get a grip of the local market: Takeaway.com had trouble conquering the UK, while its presence was too strong in the Netherlands and Belgium for Just Eat to compete there.
