French ecommerce platform La Redoute has launched a dedicated and independent Dutch website and app. It is the first international site opened by the company in ten years. The company wants to reach a target of 26 million euros in sales by 2026 in the Netherlands.

German bicycle e-tailer Bike24 is launching in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The company already had localized online shops for Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Spain. Bike24 says the company now reaches 70 percent of the European market.

Fashion retailer Yoox is adding a secondhand category on its marketplace. The pre-owned category is available in nearly 30 European countries. Later this year, the marketplace is planned to launch in the United States and Middle East as well.

Dutch fulfillment company Salesupply has opened a second location in Germany. The new center is fully automated, resulting in lower costs, a faster picking and packing process and more efficient storage. The growing demand for the business’ solutions required a new location in the country.

Belgian ecommerce associations BeCommerce and SafeShops.be have announced a merger today. The new organization focuses on boosting Belgian ecommerce. Greet Dekocker, who assumes day-to-day management of the new association, informed Ecommerce News by phone that the new name and branding are still being developed.

The Benelux-based Maxeda DIY Group, a group of DIY retailers, is launching its own marketplace. It is the first DIY marketplace within the Benelux. At the launch, the marketplace already offers 10,000 new products on top of the current product assortment.

Dutch product information management platform Gepard has launched a new feature called Digital Shelf Analytics. This feature helps brands effectively track content coverage by supervising content providers, monitoring their enriched product listings on retailers’ websites, and fully controlling content completeness and accuracy. It is one of the biggest updates in 2022 which has already brought real results to their clients.

Swiss online department store Galaxus has launched in Italy. The company wants to grow a loyal customer base. It is the company’s newest expansion after previous launches in Germany, Austria and France.

German online fashion giant Zalando has added a new product category to its platform: toys. The new category is already added to the platform’s homepage in all its markets. With this launch, the platform continues to expand its range of products for children.

German supermarket Lidl has opened its European distribution center in Roosendaal, in the Netherlands. Eventually, all of Lidl’s online orders in Europe will be fulfilled through this center. In order to do this, it will gradually expand its work force and inventory.

Ecommerce giant Alibaba has launched a new marketplace in Spain. The platform is called Miravia and connects brands and content creators with consumers. It features fashion, beauty, food and lifestyle products.

German discounter Aldi is again expanding its ecommerce division. It has announced that it will launch an online shopping service for non-food products. The service will launch in the next few years.

Beerwulf, the Heineken-owned online beer retailer, has launched its own marketplace in the Netherlands. Now, third party retailers can sell products on its platform. Beerwulf’s new platform will enter the United Kingdom in 2023, followed by Germany, France and Italy.

Ecommerce lending startup Lemonero is launching its platform in the Netherlands. It is the second expansion after a launch in Central and Eastern Europe last year. It already announced plans to expand into the DACH region, next year.

Spanish online beauty product store Perfume’s Club is turning its platform into a marketplace. By the end of this year, it wants to incorporate 200,000 products from suppliers and brands. The marketplace is only available in Spain, but will be expanded to other markets.
