Dixons sells French Pixmania and Turkish ElectroWorld

Dixons is to sell its French ecommerce business Pixmania, while also getting freed of its loss-making Turkish company ElectroWorld. Four months ago Dixons said it would like to sell Pixmana and if that proved impossible closure of the operation was an option. By selling Pixmania and Electroworld Dixons can now focus on markets where they have leading positions.

500.000 customers for furniture shop Home24

Home24 celebrated its 500,000th customer this week. The online shop for all things furniture is only one and a half years active, but it’s getting bigger and bigger every month. Nowadays they sell more than 40,000 products ranging from furniture to cupboards en fireplaces.

Hunkemöller opens its webshop for European customers

Hunkemöller, the largest high-street lingerie brand in the Benelux, is expanding its webshop for European customers. It already has local webshops in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, but now there is an international site for customers abroad. Site visitors can select five different languages and orders can be shipped to a total of 17 countries.

Zalando wants to sell more in Italy

Zalando is trying to gain some more ground in Italy. The German e-retailer is trying to do so by opening several pop-up stores, which should attract high street customers to the online shop. Recently they opened a pop-up store in Milan and now this initiative will be repeated in Rome.
